I haven’t seen this film for too long.
HOLY CRAP WHAT IS THIS AND WHO IS STEPHEN CAMPBELL MOORE BACKBENDING AND WHY

It’s from the film Bright Young Things which is super amazing - it’s based on Evelyn Waugh’s book ‘Vile Bodies’ and directed by Stephen Fry and the cast is all incredible and I love it love it love it - I mean it’s not the happiest of films because it’s based from a Waugh novel so obviously nobody is allowed to be cheerful too much, but it’s still 100% wonderful. SCM <3 plays the main character Adam, and the other guy in the gif is Michael Sheen who plays one of my favourite characters, Myles. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY WATCH THIS FILM LIZZ!

Ahhhh I’ve seen it and I loved loved loved it (and the book is one of my favourites, too!) — how do I not recognise this shot? Obviously this means I should rewatch it many many times as a punishment…

I love the book too! It’s the only Waugh book that doesn’t bore or distress me, actually. This shot’s from the scene in the hospital. We should both rewatch and then we can have a Bright Young Things lovefest online :)

I should try reading more Waugh, I think every time I approach any other of his books I think “it can’t be as good as Vile Bodies, though, surely?” and give up. I’ve read Brideshead, and though it’s good it’s not really that enjoyable IMO, whereas oh but Vile Bodies is lovely to read.
And yes! Of course it’s the party in the hospital! When everything’s going down the pan. Yes, must rewatch this sometime.

I don’t want to offend anybody, but I need my dash not be less crazy if I am going to get anything done this summer.
